This wonderful, relatively fast growing plant is highly decorative and worth a go for the more confident plant parent.
Sometimes referred to as the ‘living plant’ as leaves will move according to the the time of day.

Water & Humidity: Keep potting mix moist at all times. Calatheas are sensitive to chemicals and minerals in water so filtered or rainwater are best if you can manage them. Misting or a humid environment is key for this plant to survive and not get tell tale brown edges. Also remember to wipe leaves with a damp cloth every so often.
Light: Filtered sun / light shade.
Tip: Help create the humid environment this plant craves by grouping with other like-minded plants to create a micro climate that is suitable in your own home.
Recommended Placement: Loving humidity means this plant is great in a bright bathroom or a kitchen window sill but if you are willing to create a micro climate it could exist quite happily in bright bedroom or living room.
