Kenya Bans Single Use Plastic

Great news for the environment! Back in June Uhuru Kenyatta announced that commencing June 5th 2020 all single use plastics will be banned at national parks, beaches, forests and conservation areas in Kenya! Soon no more disposable plates, cutlery or plastic bottles will be allowed to be taken to these destinations. The sight of plastic bags stuck in tree branches has become a thing of the past since the plastic bag ban, so hopefully we’ll no longer be on a game drive or taking a dip in the sea and stumbling upon a not so scenic soda bottle.

All this means it’s time to invest in some proper picnic ware, the kind you can use at home and stash in your bag when you decide to head off into the sunset for an adventure! Luckily Kuzi has some great options for you! Our Sayari plates are super stylish and are sure to upgrade your camping trip to a glamping trip! And our Soko picnic ware is made of marbled melamine to ensure the whole family can dine in style. Melamine is tough, durable and practical – enough to withstand decades of family outings and helping to keep Kenya beautiful. Have fun!
